Ottawa: Sanjay Kumar Verma, former Indian High Commissioner to Canada, has said that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has ruined bilateral political relations. Canada has not shared any evidence with India in the murder case of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Ottawa's allegations against Indian diplomats are politically motivated.

After the controversy over the Nijjar murder case escalated, the Indian government had decided to recall its High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma and other officials from Canada. In an interview with Canada's CTV News, he also rejected Ottawa's allegation of the Indian government's involvement in targeting some individuals in Canada.

Trudeau destroyed the political relationship between India and Canada

The interview was aired on Sunday. He said, "Not a single piece of evidence has been shared with us. Trudeau is relying on intelligence rather than evidence. Trudeau destroyed the political relationship between India and Canada."

When asked about Nijjar's murder, he said, "No evidence has been presented regarding these allegations. Nijjar's murder has nothing to do with it."

It is worth noting that relations between India and Canada have become quite tense after Canada linked Verma and some other Indian diplomats to this case. Completely rejecting the allegations, New Delhi on Monday announced the recall of High Commissioner Verma and five other diplomats from Ottawa, while six Canadian diplomats were expelled from India.

Canada also expelled six Indian diplomats. India has said that the Canadian government is trying to tarnish India's image for political gain. India has expelled six diplomats including the Canadian High Commissioner. Trudeau has tried to implicate six Indian diplomats in the Nijjar murder case.

Canada made serious allegations against India

First, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held a press conference and accused the Indian government of carrying out attacks on Canadian citizens through its diplomats and organized criminal gangs. He called it a very serious mistake. After this, Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie has threatened to keep all options open, including imposing sanctions on India.
