ZSSK further said, 'The train was going from the Czech capital Prague to the Hungarian capital Budapest. Then the train collided with a bus in southern Slovakia. More than 100 passengers trapped in it are being taken by buses to the city of Sturovo on the Hungarian border. With the help of our staff, all the passengers were evacuated from the spot. Our hearts and condolences are with their families and loved ones.'

Slovak politicians express grief

The Slovak Emergency Medical Service has also given information about this incident, the emergency medical service says that the emergency response is ongoing at the accident site in Nové Jamky in southern Slovakia. Five ambulance vehicles and three ambulance helicopters are at the scene.
