Mumbai Temperature Lowest in November: People in the country's financial capital Mumbai have now started experiencing cold. The mercury of the metropolis dropped to 16.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday (28 November) night. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday that the minimum temperature in Mumbai was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest in November in the last eight years.
According to a PTI report, this temperature was recorded by the Santacruz Observatory from Thursday (November 28) night to Friday (November 29) morning. Sushma Nair, scientist at IMD Mumbai, said, "Earlier, this weather station had recorded a minimum temperature of 16.3 degrees Celsius on November 11, 2016."
No cold wave warning for Maharashtra yet
The Santacruz observatory records weather parameters for Mumbai's suburbs. The Colaba observatory in the metropolis, which records weather parameters for the island city, recorded a minimum temperature of 21.4 degrees Celsius during the same period. Sushma Nair said there is no cold wave warning for Maharashtra from November 30 to December 3 and temperatures are set to rise.
Meteorological Department scientist Sushma Nair had already predicted that the minimum temperature may drop to 16 degrees Celsius by November 29. Earlier, on November 11, 2016, the mercury had dropped to 16.3 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded in Mumbai Santacruz on Friday (November 29) was 32.6 degrees Celsius.
How will the weather be on November 30
According to IMD, the minimum temperature on Saturday (30 November) is expected to be 19 degrees Celsius. Whereas, the maximum temperature can be up to 34 degrees Celsius. The weather department has forecast that the sky will be clear. Along with this, on December 1, the minimum temperature can be 21 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature can be up to 35 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to be clear on this day as well.
