New Delhi. John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh starrer 'Veda' seems to be stuck in a certification issue. The film is scheduled to release on 15 August but it has not yet received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As the release date of the film is coming closer and the film has not yet received the necessary approval, its release in theaters is also in doubt.

The film's producers Zee Studios, Ame Entertainment and JA Entertainment issued a joint statement informing that despite the film being sent for timely certification, the CBFC is delaying its release. That too without any explanation.

Makers issued a statement

Sharing this information on Instagram, the makers shared a note. It said, "We, the producers of Veda are forced to share with our fans and supporters that despite our best efforts, we have still not received approval and certification from the CBFC of India. Following the protocol, we applied for certification eight weeks before the scheduled release. Our film was sent for certification to the CBFC on June 25. But it was unnecessarily delayed."

"We then patiently reviewed it. But nothing came out of it. Despite this unusual delay, we have full faith in the system in place and are confident that the CBFC will respond."

Which stars will be seen?

Director Nikhil Advani is the director of Veda. Veda is an action drama movie inspired by true events. Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Banerjee will also be seen in important roles in this movie.
