The mother of Bengaluru AI engineer Atul Subhash, who committed suicide due to alleged harassment by his wife, has received a big blow from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court rejected the demand of Atul Subhash's mother and said that her 4-year-old son will stay with his mother Nikita Singhania. The Supreme Court has allowed Atul Subhash's mother to go to the lower court to demand custody of the child.

The child is not safe with Nikita - Atul Subhash's mother

Let us tell you that Atul's mother Anju Devi had demanded her 4-year-old grandson to be handed over to her. In the petition, Atul Subhash's mother had said that Nikita and her family trapped Atul in a false case and harassed him for money. Due to this, he had to commit suicide. Now Nikita Singhania's family is creating obstacles in finding the child. Atul's son is not safe with her.

The court had directed to present the son through VC

Earlier, the court had directed Atul Subhash's wife to present her minor son in the court within half an hour. A bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma had asked the lawyer appearing for Atul's estranged wife Nikita Singhania to present the child through video conference. This is the second time the court has demanded to see the child.

He committed suicide on 9 December

The body of 34-year-old Atul Subhash was found hanging from a noose in his house in Munnekolalu, Bengaluru on December 9 last year. Atul had blamed his wife and in-laws for forcing him to commit suicide. Before committing suicide, Atul made a 90-minute video and wrote a 40-page suicide note expressing his grief. Atul Subhash and Nikita got married in 2019. The two also had a son in 2020. Atul Subhash was a resident of Bihar while Nikita is a resident of Jaunpur district of UP.
