Summer vacations are about to begin in the Supreme Court. There will be summer vacation in the court from 20th May to 7th July. During these summer holidays, there will be 20 benches to hear urgent cases in seven weeks. That means, except one week, three benches will hear every week. Only two benches will sit between 17th and 23rd June. In the first week between May 20 and May 26, apart from Justice Bela M Trivedi and Justice Pankaj Mitthal.
The bench of Justice PS Narasimha and Justice Sanjay Karol and the bench of Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma will hear.
In the second week, from May 27 to June 2, apart from the bench of Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice KV Vishwanathan, there will be a bench of Justice Pankaj Mitthal and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and a bench of Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arvind Kumar.
In the third week, from June 3 to June 9, apart from the bench of Justice PV Sanjay Kumar and Justice Augustine George Masih, the bench of Justice Arvind Kumar and Justice Sandeep Mehta and the bench of Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice KV Vishwanathan will hear.
In the fourth week, between June 10 and June 16, there will be a bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta along with a bench of Justice PV Sanjay Kumar and Justice Augustine George Masih and a bench of Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice Prasanna B Varale.
The fifth week will be from June 17 to June 23. Only two benches will sit in it. These will include the bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhatti along with Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Prasanna B Varale.
In the sixth week, from June 24 to June 30, apart from the bench of Justice Abhay S Oak and Justice Rajesh Bindal, the bench of Justice BV Nagarathna, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice Manoj Mishra and Justice SVN Bhatti will hear.
In the seventh and last week of vacation, between July 1 and July 7, apart from the bench of Justice CT Ravikumar and Justice Manoj Mishra, the bench of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah and the bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan will sit.
Out of these 20 benches, 26 judges will be in the vacation bench. 14 judges will sit in different benches for two weeks. Usually the top five senior judges do not sit on the vacation bench.
