The plantation campaign started in the country with the title 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' to save the earth from environmental challenges like climate change has been a great success. Under this campaign, about 52 crore saplings have been planted in the country so far, while this campaign will continue till September. Anyway, a target of planting 80 crore saplings has been set this year under this campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started this campaign on World Environment Day, i.e. on June 5. On this occasion, the PM himself planted a tree. After this, this campaign was carried out in full swing in all the states. People also participated enthusiastically in the tree plantation campaign in memory of their mother.
