New Delhi: Last week, the stock market witnessed a great boom. On the last trading session of the week, i.e. Friday, both the stock exchanges touched an all-time high. However, later a slight sell-off was seen in the market.
Following the ongoing rally in the stock market, 8 of the top 10 firms in terms of market valuation have collectively added Rs 1,21,270.83 crore to their market cap. If we talk about last week's top gainer, it was Reliance Industries. The company's shares saw a spectacular rise last week.
Rise in the market cap of these firms
The market valuation of Reliance Industries rose by Rs 53,652.92 crore to Rs 20,65,197.60 crore.
State Bank of India's market cap increased by Rs 18,518.57 crore. After this, the market valuation of the company increased to Rs 7,16,333.98 crore.
Bharti Airtel's market valuation increased by Rs 13,094.52 crore to Rs 9,87,904.63 crore.
ITC's market cap increased by Rs 9,927.3 crore. Now the market cap of the company has become Rs 6,53,834.72 crore.
The market capitalisation of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) increased by Rs 8,592.96 crore to Rs 15,59,052 crore.
HDFC Bank's m-cap increased by Rs 8,581.64 crore to Rs 13,37,186.93 crore.
The market valuation of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) increased by Rs 8,443.87 crore to Rs 6,47,616.51 crore.
Infosys' market cap increased by Rs 459.05 crore to Rs 7,91,897.44 crore.
Decline in the market cap of these companies
While on one hand the market cap of the top firms listed in the market has increased, on the other hand the market cap of two companies has declined. Last week, the market valuation of ICICI Bank fell by Rs 23,706.16 crore to Rs 9,20,520.72 crore. The market cap of Hindustan Unilever fell by Rs 3,195.44 crore to Rs 6,96,888.77 crore.

Reliance Industries is still the top-1 company in terms of market valuation. It is followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever, ITC and LIC.
