Somvati Amavasya Shubh Muhurat
According to the Vedic calendar, the Amavasya date of Paush month will start on December 30 at 04:01 am. Whereas, Somvati Amavasya will end on December 31 at 03:56 am. In Sanatan Dharma, the date is calculated from sunrise. Therefore, Somvati Amavasya will be celebrated on December 30 itself (Somvati Amavasya 2024).
Auspicious Yoga
According to astrological calculations, Vriddhi Yoga is being formed first on Paush Amavasya. This yoga will end at 08:32 pm. After this, there is a combination of Vriddhi Yoga, which will last till the whole night. Along with this, rare Shivvas Yoga is being formed on Somvati Amavasya. Astrologers consider Dhruv, Vriddhi and Shivvas Yoga as auspicious and best.
