An investigation has been launched against former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members in the alleged scam of a $5 billion nuclear power plant. The Ruppur power plant, located a short distance from Dhaka, is being built by the Russian government agency Rosatom, in which some Indian companies are also involved.
Know what is the matter
This is Bangladesh's first nuclear power plant designed by Russia at Ruppur, 160 km west of Dhaka. Rosatom has denied the allegations leveled against it regarding the Ruppur NPP project. The Russian government corporation says that it is committed to transparent policies. It will go to court to protect its interests and reputation.
These allegations have been made against Sheikh Hasina
At the same time, 77-year-old ousted PM Sheikh Hasina is accused of transferring the entire amount of the five billion dollar Ruppur nuclear power plant to her bank account in Malaysia. Apart from Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wajeeb Joy (who lives in America), her niece and British Treasury Minister Tulip Sadiq are also accused in this case.
According to a report, the development came two days after Bangladesh High Court in a judgement asked why the Anti-Corruption Commission (SCC) had not yet taken any action on the alleged transfer of USD 5 billion of Ruppur Power Nuclear Project to Sheikh Hasina's account in Malaysia.
Shouldn't this fraud by Hasina, Joy and Tulip be declared illegal? According to ACC documents, corruption in the Ruppur power plant was exposed by National Democratic Movement (NDM) president Babi Hajjaj.
There are many other allegations against Sheikh Hasina
It is noteworthy that Hasina has been taking refuge in India since August 5 after being ousted. After 16 years of rule and being elected to power for the third consecutive time, Sheikh Hasina and her colleagues have also been accused of murders and demonstrations.

We have no further information to share in this regard."
