On the Dwadashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Magh month, wake up early in the morning and after cleaning the house, take a bath with Gangajal mixed in water. After this, wear yellow clothes. Worship Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi as per the rituals. Light a lamp and do Aarti. Chant mantras and recite Vishnu Chalisa. Offer fruits, sweets and other things. After this, break the fast by drinking water mixed with Tulsi. Donating to poor people on this day has special importance.
