Shardiya Navratri is considered very auspicious, which lasts for nine days and nights. The fourth day of Navratri (Shardiya Navratri 2024 4th Day) is dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. She is one of the nine incarnations of Maa Durga. It is believed that Goddess Parvati took this form to balance energy and light after assuming the form of Siddhidatri, the devotees who worship this incarnation of Mata Rani attain brightness like the sun. Also, all wishes are fulfilled.

According to mythology (Shardiya Navratri Day 4 Vrat Katha), when the Tridev thought of creating the universe, there was a deep darkness in the entire universe at that time. The entire universe was stunned. There was neither any sound nor melody all around. Then the Tridev took help from Goddess Durga. Then Maa Kushmanda, the fourth form of Mother Durga , created the entire universe. It is said that the Goddess created the entire universe with her mild smile. The entire universe was becoming illuminated by the mild smile spread on the face of the mother.

Goddess Adishakti is called Maa Kushmanda because she created the universe with her smile, whose glory has spread far and wide. Goddess Kushmanda lives in the Sun world. The Sun is illuminated by the radiance present on the face of Maa Kushmanda who created the universe. The mother resides everywhere inside and outside the Sun world.

The entire world is benefited by the radiant aura on the face of the Goddess. She has covered herself with a radiant light like the Sun. Only the mother of the world, Adishakti Maa Kushmanda can cover this light. It is said that those who meditate on this form of Mata Rani , all their troubles end in a moment.
