Shahjahanpur News Today: The act of a government clerk of Miranpur Katra Nagar Panchayat of Shahjahanpur has become a topic of discussion. Here, the clerk sitting at the birth and death certificate desk has issued the death certificate of the deceased on two different dates. One certificate has been issued to the son of the deceased and the other certificate has been issued to the daughter of the deceased.

Let us tell you, this Babu has been suspended earlier on charges of corruption, but on the basis of stay order from the court, the accused Babu is still posted on the post and is allegedly committing new acts of corruption every day. Councillor Ashank Gupta of Bangshan locality has filed a complaint against the accused Babu and has demanded strict action against him.

Councilor Ashank Gupta complained that Jagdish Prasad Gupta, son of Darbari Lal Gupta, resident of Mohalla Katra Bazaar of the city, died on 24 October 2024. His son Ramesh Chandra Gupta and daughter Anita Gupta had applied for separate death certificates.

Babu Surendra Gangwar, sitting on the death
and birth certificate desk, issued a death certificate to the deceased's daughter Anita Gupta, in which the date of death is mentioned as 24 October 2024. After this, another certificate was issued to the deceased's son Ramesh Chandra Gupta, in which the date of death is shown as 25 October 2024.

Babu Surendra Gangwar has given his clarification regarding the issuance of this certificate. Surendra Gangwar said that Ramesh Chandra Gupta had informed the Nagar Panchayat that the date given in the certificate issued to Anita Gupta is wrong. It should be cancelled and the date of death should be shown as 25 October 2024. This is the reason why this death certificate has been issued.

The councillor expressed this apprehension
. However, there is a suspicion of corruption in this entire case. The reason for this is that even after the death certificate was issued through the daughter of the deceased, the son has demanded the issuance of the death certificate on a different date. The councillor has demanded an investigation into this entire matter and strict action against the culprits.

Member of Council Ashank Gupta said that the Nagar Panchayat administration seems to be fully involved in this whole matter because this certificate cannot be issued without the knowledge of the Executive Officer or any other officer.

'This is a human error'
The Executive Officer was also talked to in this regard. The Executive Officer says that this is a human error, which has been corrected. Only the certificate with the correct date is uploaded on the portal.
