Maha Kumbh 2025 Security: Mock drills are being conducted continuously to see how the ATS commandos will foil the attack in a very short time by conducting an operation in case of a terrorist attack in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. In this episode, on Saturday, in the presence of UP DGP Prashant Kumar, the ATS commandos once again tested their preparations by conducting a mock drill. If something untoward happens in the fair of faith, then how to foil the attack. It is being decided what role each member of the team will play in the operation. 

Mock drills are being conducted to show how to protect the lives and property of devotees in case of any untoward incident and how to control terrorists. DGP Prashant Kumar not only watched the mock drill of ATS commandos but also inspected the preparations of the water police.

Seven layers of security in Maha Kumbh 

DGP Prashant Kumar while talking to media on this occasion said that every threat being given regarding Maha Kumbh is being taken very seriously. Despite the threat, every devotee coming to Maha Kumbh will be protected from land, water and sky. There will be seven layers of security in Maha Kumbh. All our preparations have been completed. We are taking every threat very seriously. Different agencies are investigating these threats at their level and taking appropriate action. No matter how many threats there are, but strong security will be provided to the devotees.

Tight security arrangements have been made at international and inter-state borders as well

He said that women commandos of ATS have also set up camp in the fair area. Security arrangements have been increased by 40 percent as compared to the Kumbh of 2019. Tight security arrangements are also being made on international and inter-state borders. Special vigilance is being maintained regarding incidents related to cyber crime.

Better coordination across departments and agencies

A plan has been prepared to prevent cyber related incidents and take immediate action if any. Special focus is being given on disaster management, fire safety and traffic management. Better coordination has been made among all departments and agencies. He said that this event is like an opportunity for UP Police, in which we have to work in a better way.
