The stock market fell today i.e. on 11 September. The Sensex closed at 81,523 with a fall of 398 points. The Nifty also fell by 122 points and closed at 24,918.
Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 20 fell and 10 rose. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 34 fell and 16 rose. There was selling in stocks of all sectors except Nifty FMCG
Asian markets fell today
- Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance and SBI pulled the market down. Tata Motors contributed the most to the fall of the market with 108.70 points. Whereas, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance and Sun Pharma pulled the market up.
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei fell by 1.49% and Korea's Kospi fell by 0.40%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell by 0.73% and China's Shanghai Composite fell by 0.82%.
- On September 10, the Dow Jones of the US market fell 0.23% and closed at 40,736. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq rose 0.84% and closed at 17,025. The S&P500 closed at 5,495 with a gain of 0.45%.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,208.23 crore on September 10. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹275.37 crore.
Western Carriers IPO will open on September 13 The initial public offering (IPO) of light logistics company Western Carriers (India) Limited will open on September 13. Investors will be able to bid for shares till September 18. The company wants to raise Rs 492.88 crore through this issue. For this, the company will sell a total of 28,655,813 shares.
In this, 23,255,813 fresh shares worth Rs 400 crore and the existing investors of the company are selling 5,400,000 shares worth Rs 92.88 crore through Offer for Sale i.e. OFS. The company's shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on 23 September.

Out of its 30 stocks, 24 rose and 6 fell. Nifty also rose by 104 points. It closed at 25,041. 34 stocks of Nifty 50 rose and 16 fell.
