According to astrology, the last solar eclipse of the year will begin on October 1, 2024 at 09:40 pm. At the same time, it will end on October 2, 2024 at 3:17 am. According to the calculations of astrologers, the effect of solar eclipse on Sarva Pitru Amavasya (Sarva Pitru Amavasya Surya Grahan) will not be there, because it will not be visible in India.

Along with this, the Sutak period of the eclipse (Solar Eclipse 2024) will also not be considered. Therefore, on this date, you can perform the Shradh Karma and other worship rituals of your ancestors.

 

Keep these things in mind during Tarpan (Tarpan Rules)

  • If you are offering tarpan to your ancestors , then take special care of purity.
  • Stay away from tamasic food and disputes.
  • Perform Tarpan facing south.
  • Fingers are not used in offering water to ancestors, during this ritual water is offered to ancestors using thumb. During offering of water, Kusha must be worn in thumb
  • Meditate on your ancestors and offer tarpan using kusha, water, Ganga water, milk and black sesame seeds.
