On January 26, metro services in Bengaluru will start at 6 am instead of 7 am from all four terminals including Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic). Officials gave this information on Friday. They said that in view of the expected rush of passengers traveling for the 'Lalbagh Flower Show' and the special program at BIEC in Madavara on Republic Day, 20 additional trips of metro trains will be run on the 'Green Line' and 'Purple Line'. 

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) said in a statement, "Commuters can travel to and from Lalbagh metro station using tokens, 'smart cards', 'National Common Mobility Cards' and 'QR' tickets. At Lalbagh metro station, BMRCL will issue direct tickets of Rs 30 from 10 am to 8 pm for quick movement of passengers instead of tokens." BMRCL said tokens will not be issued at Lalbagh metro station during this period. 

Metro services will start at 3 am in Delhi

On the occasion of Republic Day, the Delhi Metro will resume its services at 3 am on Sunday to facilitate people to reach Kartavya Path. This information was given in an official statement. According to the official statement, amid the Republic Day celebrations across the country, the Delhi Metro will resume its services on all lines at 3 am on Sunday so that people can reach Kartavya Path and watch the Republic Day parade and celebrations to be held there. 

According to the statement, to ensure smooth travel of passengers, trains will run at an interval of 30 minutes till 6 am, after which the regular timetable will be followed for the rest of the day. It said that passengers are encouraged to plan their journey accordingly and avail the morning metro services to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
