The fast of Rama Ekadashi is considered very fruitful. On this day, there is a law to worship Lord Vishnu. According to the Panchang, Ekadashi is celebrated on the 11th day of Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha every month. According to the Panchang, this time this fast will be kept on October 28. It is said that by observing this fast (Rama Ekadashi 2024), one gets good fortune. Also, there is never a shortage of wealth and grains in the house.

At the same time, to get the full benefits of the fast on this day, one must recite its fast story (Rama Ekadashi Vrat Katha), which is as follows.

Rama Ekadashi Vrat Katha (Rama Ekadashi Vrat Katha In Hindi)

There are many stories about Rama Ekadashi . Once upon a time there was a king named Muchukunda. His daughter's name was Chandrabhaga, who was married to Chandrasen's son Shobhan. One day Shobhan came to his in-laws' house. A day before Rama Ekadashi, King Muchukunda announced in the entire city that no one would eat food on Rama Ekadashi, hearing which his son-in-law got upset, then he told his wife that "he cannot survive without food."

After hearing this, his wife said, "You should go somewhere else. If you stay here, you will have to follow this fasting rule." Then Shobhan said, "Whatever is in one's destiny will be seen and he kept the fast of Rama Ekadashi, but he felt very hungry, due to which he became restless. At the same time, when the time for night vigil came, he became very sad and by morning he died. His last rites were performed and Chandrabhaga started living in her maternal home.

Due to the virtuous effect of Rama Ekadashi fast, Shobhan got the beautiful Devpur on Mandarachal mountain. One day a Brahmin from Muchukunda Nagar went to Shobhan's city, where he met his wife, who told the whole story. She asked "How did you get such a city?" Shobhan told her about the virtuous effect of Rama Ekadashi. He said "This city is unstable, you tell Chandrabhaga about it".

That Brahmin went to his home and told the whole story to Chandrabhaga the next day. Chandrabhaga set out with that Brahmin for Shobhan's city. On the way, both of them went to the ashram of Vaamdev Rishi near Mandarachal Mountain. There Vaamdev anointed Chandrabhaga. Due to the effect of mantra and Ekadashi fast , Chandrabhaga's body became divine and she attained divine salvation.

After that she went to her husband Shobhan. She made Chandrabhaga sit on her left side. She gave her husband the merit of Ekadashi fast, due to which her city became stable. She told that "Due to the merit of the fast, this city will remain stable till the end of Pralaya." After that both of them started living happily in that city.
