New Delhi: Rakhi Sawant, famous as an actress and drama queen, remains in the headlines every day for some reason or the other. This time Rakhi seems to be stuck in legal troubles. Former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede has recently filed a defamation case of Rs 11 lakh against Rakhi Sawant and her lawyer Ali Kashif Khan. This case has been filed before Dindoshi City Civil Court, Malad, Mumbai.

According to reports, Sameer Wankhede has filed a lawsuit citing an interview of the year 2023. He claims that Kashif made statements that were false, 'fabricated and baseless'. Sameer also said that Ali Kashif deliberately makes such statements in the media and tarnishes the image of celebs. Let us tell you that Sameer has asked for a compensation of Rs 11 lakh.

Sameer Wankhede says that Rakhi and Ali are trying to spoil his image and defame him. At the same time, Ali Kashif also said in the case filed by Sameer, 'The law says that when some truth is spoken about a public servant for the public good, it is not defamation. Saying something about someone or expressing your opinion is not defamation.

Ali Kashif Khan says that Sameer's petition will be given a befitting reply in the court. The lawyer said, 'If Sameer Wankhede proves that this is defamation, then I am ready to pay him Rs 11 lakh in this case.'
