New Delhi: Rajesh Kumar has been a veteran actor of Hindi cinema. He started his career in TV in 1999 with Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka and gained popularity with TV shows like Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
Rajesh Kumar had a good career on the small screen , but in 2017 he decided to put his success aside and take up farming. In 2017, he left acting and went to his hometown in Bihar to do farming. There he started a start-up which failed.
Sold vegetables in front of son's school
Rajesh Kumar, who is seen in the latest film Binny and Family, revealed in an interview to Siddharth Kannan that after quitting acting, he had started a start-up by taking a loan, which failed and he got drowned in debt. Fed up, he started selling vegetables, that too in front of his son's school. His three-year-old son used to tell his teachers to buy vegetables only from his father.
The actor was rejected from Shark Tank
Rajesh Kumar also told that he had gone to Shark Tank India as a contestant . He thought that being an actor, he would get some offer, but it did not happen. He was rejected after two-three rounds of auditions. He was completely shattered by this.
Got a chance to act again
Soon after being rejected from Shark Tank India, he got an offer for the film Haddi. But he was very disappointed with the rejection and his confidence was also shaken. He first went to meet the casting director for Haddi and then after meeting the director, he got the film without audition. He got this film without audition. The only condition before him was to shave his head, for which the actor agreed but for this he was charged one lakh rupees extra.
