The stock market ended with a decline throughout the week and many big events took place this week whose effect was seen on the Indian market. The US presidential election's effect was seen on the stock market and Donald Trump's victory led to a rise in the stock market but it lasted only for 2 days. After a massive fall in the domestic stock market on Thursday and Friday, the Sensex-Nifty closed in the lower range. Last week, the BSE Sensex registered a decline of 237.8 points or 0.29 percent, which was lower than the previous week's trading.

Valuation of six of the top 10 companies declined by Rs 1.55 lakh crore last week 

In terms of market capitalization, the total valuation of six of the top 10 companies of the country fell by Rs 1,55,721.12 crore last week. Reliance Industries suffered the biggest loss during this week. The market valuation of Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, ITC, Hindustan Unilever and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) fell. On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Infosys and State Bank of India gained.

Market capitalization of falling companies

The valuation of Reliance Industries fell by Rs 74,563.37 crore to Rs 17,37,556.68 crore. The valuation of Bharti Airtel fell by Rs 26,274.75 crore to Rs 8,94,024.60 crore. Similarly, the market valuation of ICICI Bank fell by Rs 22,254.79 crore to Rs 8,88,432.06 crore and the valuation of ITC fell by Rs 15,449.47 crore to Rs 5,98,213.49 crore. The market capitalization of LIC fell by Rs 9,930.25 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever by Rs 7,248.49 crore.

How was the market capitalization of the rising companies?

The valuation of the country's largest IT company TCS has increased by Rs 57,744.68 crore to Rs 14,99,697.28 crore. The valuation of Infosys has increased by Rs 28,838.95 crore to Rs 7,60,281.13 crore and the valuation of State Bank of India has increased by Rs 19,812.65 crore to Rs 7,52,568.58 crore.

Which company is now the country's largest firm in terms of valuation

Reliance Industries remains the richest company in the country in terms of market cap. It is followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, ITC, Hindustan Unilever and LIC.
