Punjab latest News: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) working president Balwinder Singh Bhunder on Monday (March 17) called for unity among party leaders. He has appealed to the leaders who have separated from the party to join the party following the instructions of Akal Takht. Balwinder Singh Bhunder made this appeal after the meeting of the party's parliamentary board.

SAD working president Balwinder Singh Bhunder said, "I appeal to all the leaders including the members of the 5-member committee to follow the instructions of Akal Takht. Strive for unity in the Panth by erasing all differences. So that along with strengthening the Panthic forces, the agencies trying to harm the SAD can be defeated."

Akali Dal leader Balwinder Singh Bhunder, referring to the speech of Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj on the occasion of Hola Mohalla, said, "It is true that there are many occasions in Sikh history which witness the fact that by being united, the community became stronger and its prosperity also increased. We should learn from the past."

This appeal was made to Chandumajra, Jagir Kaur and Wadala

Akali Dal working president Balwinder Singh Bhunder said that he had earlier also appealed to the isolated leaders to join the SAD's membership drive. I had earlier also offered them to take the party's membership slips and be a part of the membership drive. I reiterate this offer and appeal to them to take the membership copies and fill them up. So that representatives of their choice can be elected as part of the organisational elections.
