Pradosh Vrat has great religious significance among Hindus. This day is one of the most auspicious days, as this day is completely dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. On this auspicious day, the devotees keep fast and worship Lord Shiva with devotion. This time Pradosh Vrat (Ravi Pradosh Vrat 2024) is being observed on the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month i.e. today, 15th September, so let us know some important things related to this day, which are as follows.

 

 

 

Pradosh fast worship time (Ravi Pradosh Vrat 2024 Puja Muhurat)

According to the Hindu calendar, the Puja Muhurta of Pradosh Vrat will be from 06:12 pm to 08:10 pm. At the same time, Vijay Muhurta will be from 02:19 pm to 03:09 pm and Godhuli Muhurta will be from 06:26 pm to 06:49 pm. Along with this, Nishita Muhurta will be from 11:53 pm to 12:40 pm.

All these Muhurats are considered special for Shiva Puja. Therefore, you can worship at any of these times, but evening worship has more importance in Pradosh Vrat. In such a situation, try to worship according to the Puja time.

Bhog- white sweets, halwa, curd, bhang, panchamrit, honey, milk, kheer, malpua, thandai etc.

 

Method of worship of Pradosh fast (Ravi Pradosh fast 2024 Puja Vidhi)

  • Get up early in the morning and take a bath before starting the puja rituals.
  • Install the idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on an altar.
  • Light a lamp of desi ghee and offer flowers of hibiscus, aak and madar.
  • Offer prasad of kheer, thandai, and home made sweets.
  • Chant various mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
  • Also recite Shiva Puran and Shiva Tandava Stotra to get blessings of Lord Shiva.
  • Along with this, recite Pradosh Vrat.
  • Do worship the Shiva family in the evening.
  • Complete the puja with Aarti.
  • Then distribute the Bhog Prasad among the family members.
  • The fasting person should break his fast with Satvik food and avoid Tamasik food.
