One of the major fasts of Sanatan Dharma is the fast of Papankusha Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day. Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this auspicious day and keeping a strict fast for him brings good fortune. Ekadashi comes twice in the month in Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. According to the Vedic calendar, this year Papankusha Ekadashi (Papankusha Ekadashi 2024) is being celebrated on October 13 i.e. today.

Puja Muhurta
According to the Hindu calendar, Ravi Yoga will last from 06:21 am to 02:51 am the next day. Vijay Muhurat will last from 02:02 pm to 02:49 pm. Godhuli Muhurat will last from 05:53 pm to 06:18 pm. Nishita Muhurat will last from 11:42 pm to 12:23 pm.
Method of Parana of Papankusha Ekadashi
Wake up in Brahmamuhurta, take a bath and wear clean clothes. Clean the temple where you have set up the altar. Worship Shri Hari Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi in a proper manner. Apply a tilak of Gopi sandalwood and turmeric. Light a lamp of desi ghee. Offer a garland of yellow flowers. Offer homemade sweets. Do include Tulsi leaves in the worship. Chant the mantra 'Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay' 108 times. Perform aarti with devotion. Finally blow the conch.
Break the fast with satvik food and prasad. Please note, Ekadashi fast is broken on Dwadashi Tithi, so break your fast at dawn on Dwadashi Tithi.
