
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Ramji Lal Suman: Senior Samajwadi Party leader Ramji Lal Suman had made a controversial comment about Rana Sanga in the Rajya Sabha, due to which anger can be seen in Rajasthan. The controversy over Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Aurangzeb in Maharashtra was not yet over that the political temperature has been raised in Rajasthan by commenting on Rana Sanga.
'People with small hearts say such things' - Gajendra Shekhawat
On the statement of Samajwadi Party leader Ramji Lal Suman, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said, "This is a look at the history of India. When you review the history of India, you will not be able to compare both Babar and Sanga together."
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat further said, "Maharana Sanga had awakened the spirit of freedom. He not only saved India from slavery, but also contributed greatly in keeping the culture of India eternal. Some intellectuals and small-hearted people talk like this about themselves. I think there is no scope for such discussions. Don't you think that big leaders should not make such statements?"
'Extremely condemnable' - Mohanlal Sukhadia University
Meanwhile, Manish Shrimali from the Department of History, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur said, "The discussion that took place in the Rajya Sabha yesterday is extremely condemnable. The allegations leveled against Maharana Sangram Singh, popularly known as Maharana Sanga of Mewar, are an insult not only to the history of Rajasthan but also to the history of India."
Manish Shrimali said, "He is known for his efforts to unite the entire Kshatriya community and include people from all backgrounds. Such allegations against him are extremely reprehensible and all the historians of our department strongly condemn them."
