Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and interacted with Lakhpati Didis in Navsari on Saturday. With a notepad and pencil in hand, the Prime Minister was focused on noting down the main points of the discussion. Most of the women said that they have been able to become Lakhpati Didis because of Prime Minister Modi, his policies and the inspiration he gave them.

Prime Minister Modi said this to Lakhpati sisters

Listening to the positive experiences and progress of Lakhpati Didis, the Prime Minister said that the target of 3 crore Lakhpati Didis can be crossed soon and 5 crore can also be reached in the coming time. The women expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, in a few years they can participate in Crorepati Didi program instead of Lakhpati Didi program.

Lakhpati sisters shared their experiences with PM Modi

A drone pilot said that she cannot fly a plane, but she has got a chance to become a drone pilot because of Prime Minister Modi. She said that in her house and village she is called Pilot instead of Bhabhi.  

While discussing the Vyapar Vistar Yojana, the Prime Minister suggested to the Lakhpati Didis that they should bring their businesses online so that their reach to the market increases. He said that women like them in rural areas will lead the way towards a developed India.

Lakhpati sisters praised PM Modi

Appreciating the Prime Minister's initiative to promote millets, a woman said that her khakhra from Gujarat has become popular. To this, the Prime Minister said that due to such efforts, khakhra is no longer limited to Gujarat but has become famous all over the country. A woman said that it was a very proud moment for her to receive an invitation for the interaction. Some neighbours even jokingly requested her not to complain about them during the meeting.
