Atul Subhash Case: The case of Atul Subhash's suicide in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru is gaining momentum. In this case, the local police has registered an FIR against many people including Atul's wife Nikita. Now the FIR lodged by Nikita Singhania in the year 2022 has also come to light in this case. Nikita had lodged this FIR before the police in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. In this, Nikita claimed that she was tortured for dowry.

In the FIR, it is written on Nikita's complaint- At the time of marriage, my parents and relatives had gifted me gold and silver jewellery worth about 10 lakh rupees, 5 lakh rupees in cash, precious utensils, clothes and modern household items. After the marriage, the applicant left for her in-laws' house and started following her duty as a woman.

According to Nikita, when I told my parents about the harassment and dowry by my in-laws, my parents tried to convince me that everything will be fine, just bear it. But there was no improvement in my husband and in-laws. My husband started beating me up after drinking alcohol and his husband-wife relationship with me became brutal and he used to beat me up when I protested.

Nikita has alleged in the FIR that he used to transfer my entire salary from my account to his account by threatening me. On 16-08-2019, my father-in-law and mother-in-law came to my maternal home in Ruhatta, Jaunpur and again started demanding 10 lakh rupees from my parents and threatened to divorce if they did not give it. Irritated by the words of the above people, my father's health suddenly deteriorated and on 17-08-2019, he suffered a stroke due to dowry demand, due to which he died during treatment. 

Nikita claims that my husband took me to Bangalore on the basis of people's persuasion. On 17-05-2021, around 9.00 am, I was kicked and beaten in front of my mother and as my dowry demand was not met, he snatched all my jewellery, clothes, FD, important documents and all my stridhan and threw me out of the house and threatened me that if I return without Rs. 10 lakh, I will have to lose my life. 

According to Atul Subhash's wife, as a last attempt, on the basis of people's persuasion, I went to Bangalore again on 24-09-2021. On seeing me and Mary, my husband started abusing my mother and sister. And said that I will keep you in the house only if you give me ten lakhs. My mother was helpless and complained to the police, then the police came and got my clothes and documents from my husband, but he refused to give me all my stridhan and jewellery. Disappointed, I came to my maternal home with my mother and my son Vyom. My husband and the said in-laws are not ready to keep me with them without fulfilling the dowry demand.
