The first day of Navratri holds special significance. On this day, there is a ritual of worshiping Mata Shailputri, the first form of Mata Rani. Navratri Puja begins with Ghatasthapana (Navratri 2024 Puja Samagri List). It is believed that if Ghatasthapana is done with full rituals, then it brings Mata Rani to the devotee's house. According to the Hindu calendar, this year the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month has started on 03 October 2024 (according to the English calendar) at 12:18 pm. At the same time, this date will end on 04 October at 02:58 pm. In such a situation, according to the Udaya date, the first day of Sharadiya Navratri (Navratri 2024) is being celebrated on 03 October i.e. today. During this time, you can do Ghat Stharna in Abhijit Muhurta, which is as follows -

On the first day of Navratri (Navratri 2024), wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take a bath. North-east direction is considered better for Ghat establishment. Therefore, after cleaning this place thoroughly in the auspicious time, lay a wooden stool and spread a red cloth on it. After this, make a swastika on the Ghat with roli or sandalwood and tie a mauli in the Ghat. Now take a Kalash, fill it with water and put turmeric, roli, Akshat, coin.

After this, put mango or Ashoka leaves on this Kalash and put coconut on it. Put barley in the pot and place the Kalash on top of it. Now light the lamp and invoke Mata Rani. In the worship of Navratri, worship this Kalash along with the worship of Mata Rani.
