The festival of Sharadiya Navratri is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. This festival is dedicated to Jagat Janani Adishakti Maa Durga. During this, nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped from Pratipada Tithi to Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. Along with this, Navratri fast is observed for the nine Shakti goddesses. Religious opinion is that by worshiping and praying to Maa Durga, every wish of the devotee is definitely fulfilled on time.

Along with this, there is an increase in status, prestige, fame, honour, happiness, fortune and income. Therefore, the devotees worship Maa Durga with devotion for nine days. On the Navami Tithi, they worship Maa Siddhidatri. On this day, Kanya Pujan is also done. On this auspicious occasion, nine girls are worshipped. At many places, Kanya Pujan is also done on Ashtami Tithi. This year, due to Ashtami and Navami falling on the same day, there is a dilemma among the devotees regarding Kanya Pujan. Let us know the correct date and auspicious time of Kanya Pujan-

When to perform Kanya Pooja?

According to religious scholars, the Ashtami and Navami of Sharadiya Navratri are on October 11. The Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will end on October 11 at 12:06 pm. After this, Navami Tithi is falling. Therefore, those who worship Kanya on Ashtami Tithi can do it before 12 noon. However, after the Navami Tithi begins, worship Maa Siddhidatri in a proper manner. After this, break the fast by donating food and money.

If you want to do Kanya Pujan on Navami Tithi, then you can do it after 12:06 pm on October 11. If you want, you can also do Kanya Pujan and Navami Pujan before 10:58 am on October 12. After this, you can break the fast as per the rules of the scriptures. Sadhaks can do Kanya Pujan on October 11 in the morning or afternoon as per their convenience. However, break the fast of Sharadiya Navratri only after 12:08 pm. On the other hand, sadhaks who keep the fast of Ashtami on October 11 can break their fast till 10:58 am on October 12.
