
It has been a year since the death of Purvanchal's Bahubali Mafia Don Mukhtar Ansari. On March 28 last year, Mukhtar Ansari died of a heart attack at Rani Durgavati Medical College in Banda. At the time of Mukhtar Ansari's death, he was serving his sentence in Banda's divisional jail. Mukhtar's belongings are still in his barrack, regarding which the court has ordered that his belongings be returned to his family.
After Mukhtar's death, barrack number 16 of Banda jail where Mukhtar was imprisoned was sealed and all of Mukhtar's belongings are still lying there. After Mukhtar Ansari's death, no member of his family came to Banda jail to receive his remains. But now the lower court has ordered that a team be formed under the leadership of a magistrate to open Mukhtar's barrack and hand over his belongings to his family members and the entire process will also be videographed.

Banda Divisional Jail's Jail Superintendent Anil Kumar Gautam said that Mukhtar Ansari had died on March 28, since then his barrack was sealed. All of Mukhtar's belongings are also locked in the barrack. Because the matter was pending in the court, investigation was going on. But now the lower court has given directions that the seal of that barrack should be opened and its proper videography should be done, for which a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the magistrate in front of whom all the belongings will be taken out from the barrack and handed over to his family.
The jail superintendent said that in this sequence, he has already written to the District Magistrate to nominate a magistrate for this process. After the death of Mukhtar Ansari, none of his family members came here. He also wrote to Mukhtar's family several times to come and take Mukhtar's custody certificate and documents related to post-mortem, but the family refused to come here citing security threat and has nominated his lawyer to receive all the necessary papers and belongings. On the court's order, Mukhtar's barrack will be opened and all his belongings will be made available to the family.
