Meerut News: BJP councilor in Meerut has opened a front against the Municipal Corporation. The BJP councilor got so angry due to the negligence of the Municipal Corporation officials and their failure to understand the seriousness of the matter that he started a hunger strike. The BJP councilor has announced that Diwali will also be celebrated on the road. The BJP councilor has expressed displeasure over the poor condition of the area and the failure of the Municipal Corporation officials.

Ward-44 of Meerut Municipal Corporation is in a bad state. The roads of the old Mohanpuri area are yearning for development. The ward is still dark despite Diwali being near. BJP councillor Uttar Saini is constantly visiting the Municipal Corporation regarding these problems, pleading with the officials, but no one is listening. Assurances were given many times, but nothing was ever done on the ground. Uttar Saini sat on a dharna by putting up a hunger strike poster on the pavement near the drain and said that he will celebrate Diwali and all the festivals here, he will not go home.

Women said - We voted for development
. Women of Meerut's old Mohanpuri area are also very angry. Many women have also sat on a hunger strike along with ward councilor Uttar Saini, saying that we had voted for BJP, we made BJP councilor Uttam Saini win the election, but no one is ready to listen to our councilor. The roads are broken and accidents are happening every day, many people have been injured. We pay house tax on time, but still the officials do not listen. Most of the lights in the ward are out of order, the municipal corporation officials do not have time to look into our problems. 

As soon as the news of Meerut Municipal Corporation Ward-44 councilor Uttam Saini sitting on a hunger strike with the people of the ward was received, Meerut Mayor Harikant Ahluwalia reached the spot. Mayor Harikant Ahluwalia pacified the BJP councilor and the people by explaining to them and assured them that after Diwali, I will get the development done from the board fund, have faith. Finally, after much persuasion by the mayor, the people agreed and he ended the hunger strike by giving them juice.
