Mayawati On One Nation One Election: Bahujan Samaj Party's national president Mayawati has announced support to the central government on the issue of one country one election. However, she has also put a condition. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the report of the committee formed on one nation one election. It is believed that in the upcoming winter session, the government will introduce the bill related to One Nation One Election in the Parliament.
In this context, the BSP chief wrote that our party's stand on the approval given today by the Union Cabinet to the proposal to hold Lok Sabha, Assembly and local body elections simultaneously in the country under the system of 'One Country, One Election' is positive, but its objective must be in the national and public interest.
Samajwadi Party also reacted on this issue. They wrote that the BJP government at the center knows that wherever there is a BJP government, whenever elections are held, BJP will be wiped out. That is why BJP wants to run away from the elections. This is the same BJP which was counting the great benefits of demonetization. When the draft of One Nation One Election will come, then Samajwadi Party will clear its stand.
What did Congress and BJP say?
On the other hand, Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP said that this is another drama by Modi government. This government has fallen from all sides. He said that they started with a figure of 400 but were reduced to 240. Congress leader asked that it is difficult to get a simple majority. How will this Modi government get a two-third majority? This topic has been brought into discussion to divert attention from its failures and to change the issues in this election in some way.
The Congress leader said that it can be spoken about in detail only when it comes in the public Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha in the form of a bill or in the form of a draft.
UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya also reacted on this issue. He said- #One_Country_One_Election I heartily welcome and congratulate the historic decision of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi . This is a tough and big decision of Prime Minister Modi in the interest of the country. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
