Akshay Kumar started his career in Hindi cinema as an action star. Later he also worked in comedy films and was a hit. But after doing a patriotic film, he got a different identity and his image changed completely.

Manoj Kumar's best movies

Although Akshay Kumar is considered the leader of this genre in today's time, in reality it was started by someone else. The name of that legendary artist is Manoj Kumar . Manoj Kumar started a new style of patriotic cinema in Bollywood. 'Purab Aur Paschim', 'Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan' and 'Kranti' are some such films that changed the definition of patriotic films.

In 1965, India-Pakistan war took place and his film 'Upkar' was made on this. There was a different atmosphere in the country at that time. Crowds started gathering in the cinema halls to watch this film. This film was awarded six Filmfare Awards. After this film, people started calling him 'Bharat Kumar'. This was his debut film as a director.

Bhagat Singh's character was played in this film

Manoj Kumar's career took a turning point when the film 'Shaheed' based on Bhagat Singh was released in 1964. SS Sharma had directed it. Megastar Manoj Kumar played the role of Bhagat Singh in the film. This film is still considered the best patriotic film. He won many awards for his performance in this film. Manoj Kumar had seen the pain of partition very closely and perhaps this was the reason that he portrayed patriotism on the big screen with the same beauty.

It is difficult to match Manoj Kumar

Today, many actors have played this role on screen, but the aura and magic of Manoj Kumar is still a distant dream for other actors. In today's cinema, many actors including Ajay Devgan, Bobby Deol have played this character on screen, but they will not be able to create magic like Manoj Kumar. After this film, people became interested in telling the story of Bhagat Singh's life. The film not only told the story of Bhagat Singh's life but also inspired other film makers. Bhagat Singh's martyrdom and ideology are still an inspiration for the youth.

The first film came in the year 1954

The first Hindi film Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh inspired by the life of Bhagat Singh was released in 1954. Prem Adib played the role of Bhagat Singh in this film. Then after a long gap, almost 20 years later, Bhagat Singh returned to the screen once again.
