The Mahabharata narrates the journey of Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandavas, as he set out on his final pilgrimage to Swargarohan (ascending to heaven). While many assume that Arjuna or Bhima were with him until the end, the truth is neither of them reached heaven alongside him. Instead, his only companion on this journey was a loyal dog.
The Journey to Heaven
- After ruling Hastinapura for years, Yudhishthira, along with his brothers—Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva—along with Draupadi, renounced the throne and set off on their final journey toward the Himalayas, seeking liberation.
