Banka News: A handicapped person from Banka also died in the stampede that took place on the banks of Sangam on Tuesday night before bathing on the day of Mauni Amavasya in Maha Kumbh . The deceased has been identified as Satyavan Rajak (age around 50 years), a resident of Chalna village of Dhoraiya block area. After this incident, there is chaos among the relatives of the deceased.
Giving information about the incident, Dinanath Rajak, brother-in-law of Satyavan Rajak, who had gone with him, said that he had left his house with half a dozen people from Chalna village on the morning of January 27. On Tuesday night at around 11:30 pm, when they started returning after taking bath, a stampede broke out. In the accident, his brother-in-law Satyavan Rajak got separated from them. Even after a lot of searching, he was not found anywhere till 2 o'clock in the night, so his name was registered in the lost and found center.
Satyavan Rajak's body was identified after a lot of searching at Motilal Nehru Medical College Prayagraj at around 9 pm on Wednesday night. Since the news of the incident, the family members are crying inconsolably. According to the family members, Satyavan had gone to Prayagraj with his wife Kankai Devi and five other people.
There was mourning silence at home after the incident
Here, after the incident, there is mourning silence at the house of deceased Satyawan Rajak. The deceased's brother Nityanand Rajak said that he (Satyavan) was the second among four brothers. He (Satyawan Rajak) has two sons. He has a daughter. The elder son is also handicapped in both legs. Satyawan Rajak used to support his family by working as a labourer.
After receiving the information, Congress block president Girish Paswan, social worker Parshuram Das, Rajaram Das and others reached the village of deceased Satyavan Rajak and consoled the victim's family. They have also demanded proper compensation from the Bihar government.
