60 crates loaded in a pickup
The police received information from an informer on July 12 that a pickup vehicle without a number plate, with 'Ramlala ke kripa' written on the upper strip in red paint, was loaded with crates. A large quantity of banned narcotic substances and cough syrup were loaded under the crates, which were being transported from Pahadi Khera via Singhpur towards Satna for sale. A blockade was put up at Khangarh turn to act on the informer's information.
Police further said that during this time, a driver of a pick-up vehicle came from Kalinjar side, which was stopped. The vehicle was parked on the side, on which Ramlala ki kripa se was written in red color on the upper strip. As soon as the vehicle stopped, the driver was asked his name and address, then two people from the other side got down from the pick-up and ran, who were chased by the staff, who escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
Police said that the pickup driver told his name to be Diwakar Kumar Patel, father Shivnath Patel, age 24 years, resident of village Tikar, Patparaha Tola, police station Govindgarh, district Rewa. During the search, old empty plastic cartons and narcotic substance Onrex syrup filled in 60 boxes were found. 120 bottles were found filled in each paper carton, the total quantity of which was 7,200 bottles of Onrex cough syrup.
