UP News: Big news has come out in the case of the death of Priyanka, daughter of a retired senior technician from PGI, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka's body arrived at Lucknow airport from Thailand today (Wednesday, 15 January) and Priyanka's post-mortem will be done here. Satyanarayan Sharma, a retired senior technician from PGI and Priyanka's father, had filed a case against son-in-law Dr. Ashish Srivastava in PGI police station, accusing him of murder.

Priyanka had a love marriage with Dr. Ashish Srivastava, Assistant Professor at Orai Medical College in the year 2017. The father has accused the son-in-law of constantly harassing the daughter. In September 2022, Priyanka had also filed a report of harassment against her husband, after which a settlement was reached. Then on January 4, Ashish took Priyanka to Thailand for a trip and on January 8, the daughter was reported to have died due to drowning in the bathtub.

According to the Times of India, Satyanarayan Sharma, a resident of Sector 16 of Vrindavan Colony, has accused his son-in-law Dr. Ashish Srivastava (38) of murdering his daughter Priyanka Sharma (32). In a letter written to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya on January 12, he has made several allegations against his son-in-law. The police have registered a case of murder against the doctor late on Monday night and the matter is being investigated.

According to the complaint, there was tension in their marriage after a few years of marriage. He said, "The dispute continued because my daughter came to know that Ashish had an illicit relationship with another woman and she opposed it. Ashish used to harass her mentally and physically. My daughter had earlier filed an application against him to the police and a report was filed. After this, on the intervention of me and Ashish's father, my daughter was assured that she would not be harassed again and I sent my daughter with Ashish. Their relationship soured after Priyanka gave birth to a son.

The deceased's father said in his complaint that Ashish had gone to Thailand with his daughter on January 4. On January 8, around 3 am, a call came that Priyanka had died by drowning in the bathtub. Ashish is a doctor by profession and taking advantage of his profession, he fed some medicine to my daughter and conspired to drown her in the bathtub. I am sure that Ashish has murdered my daughter.
