Lord Shri Ram always gave due respect and place to women power. Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devataa… If we look at the essence of Shri Ramayan, then Lord Shri Ram behaved in accordance with this shloka during his lifetime. For this, Lord Shri Ram also presented examples through his conduct. Mother Kaikeyi may have asked for exile for him, but he protected her honour. Along with this, he did not let any decrease in the respect of Mother Kaikeyi throughout his life. Dr. Shri Ramji Bhai's article presenting Lord Shri Ram's viewpoint towards women.

Due to the unique and incomparable capacity of creativity present in the nature of a woman, it has been an important characteristic of Lord Shri Ram to look upon the women society with more respect. According to the tenth chapter of Rigveda, the world was created because of women. Women are the embodiment of power. Only in Sanatan society, women have the good fortune of being respected in this way.

Mother Sumitra had followed the family decorum

While Mother Kaushalya herself had the honour of being the mother of Shri Ram, Mother Kaikeyi also had the feeling of welfare of human society along with the security of Raghukul. Not only this, Mother Sumitra, while following the family decorum, presents the ideal of family unity by keeping both her sons away from the power struggle of the royal palace. On returning to Ayodhya after marriage, Lord Shri Ram told Sitaji that although there is a tradition of keeping more than one wife in the royal families, but I promise you Shri Ram that I will not even look at any other woman except you.

When he set out with Maharishi Vishwamitra for the welfare of his subjects at a very young age, even after seeing the terrible havoc created by the demoness Taraka, Shri Ram says, "Lakshman! She is still protected because she is a woman. I do not have the slightest enthusiasm to kill her. I think I should let her go only after destroying her strength, valour and movement power."

Lord Shri Ram's mother said this to Ahalya

Reaching in front of Mata Ahilya who was doing penance in invisible form, Lord Shri Ram touched her feet with reverence. After this, when he accepted the hospitality of Mata Ahilya as per the scriptural method, the drums of the gods started playing, and flowers started raining from the sky. Gandharvas and Apsaras started celebrating. With the grace of Lord Shri Ram, Mata Ahilya regained her pure form from the stone. Seeing this, all the gods started praising her and praising her profusely, after that Mata Ahilya requested Lord Shri Ram that I want my husband to forgive me and give me the same place in his life as before. Lord Shri Ram says to Mata Ahilya, Devi! You do not worry even a bit, Maharishi is not angry with you. You will regain your place.

Shri Ram left the coronation ceremony

After Lord Shri Ram, obeying the orders of his father King Dasharath, left the coronation and went to the forest, the maidservant Manthra started burning in the fire of repentance for her deeds. She spent her days in a dark cell for fourteen years. She expected that when Lord Shri Ram would return after fourteen years, she would get a very harsh punishment. But when Lord Shri Ram returned to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile, he himself went to meet Manthra in her cell. Seeing Lord Shri Ram in front of her, Manthra fell at his feet and started pleading for a harsh punishment for her deeds. After listening to Manthra, Lord Shri Ram forgave her and said, Mother! This was the plan of Mother Saraswati along with all the gods for the welfare of the people. You are not at fault in this.

Shri Ram met mother Shabari during his exile

When Lord Shri Ram met Mother Shabari during his exile to the forest, Mother Shabari said that our Guru had said that Lord Shri Ram would himself come to you. That is why we had faith that Lord you would definitely come. It was a matter of supernatural joy for Shabari that God himself came to the house of the devotee. Mother Shabari says that Lord! Where are you from the far north and where am I from the south. Where are you the future of Raghukul and where am I, a forest dweller living in the forest. If the king of Lanka, the tyrant Ravana, was not to be killed, would you have come here? Hearing these words of Mother Shabari, Lord Shri Ram said, Mother! My younger brother Lakshman could have killed the evil Ravana by shooting an arrow with the thumb of his feet. Ram has only come to meet his forest dwelling Mother Shabari so that when the history of the establishment of Dharmarajya is written, people remember that this was done by Kshatriya Ram and his forest dwelling mother together. Hearing this, Shabari looked at him and said, Lord! That is why you are Shri Ram.

After the death of Ravana's son Meghnad, on hearing the news of his wife Devi Sulochana joining the Ram army, Lord Shri Ram himself came to Sulochana and said- Devi! Your husband was the best warrior in the world. He had many good qualities, but who can change the law of destiny. Today, seeing you like this, my heart is in great pain. On this, Devi Sulochana praised Lord Shri Ram and said that if Shri Ram is an ocean of mercy, then today he will definitely save the honor of a beggar woman.

Shri Ram ordered Meghnad's head

Hearing such things, Lord Shri Ram interrupted Sulochana and said- Goddess! Do not embarrass me further. I know how great is the glory of a devoted wife. The world trembles with your chastity. Seeing tears in your eyes, I am also crying from within. Goddess, please tell me the reason for coming here. On this, Goddess Sulochana looked at Lord Shri Ram with tearful eyes and said- O Raghavendra! I have come here to take my husband's head to become a Sati. On this, Lord Shri Ram quickly called for Meghnad's head with respect and gave it to Sulochana.

Sugreeva said this after listening to Goddess Sulochana

Seeing this scene, all the warriors were unable to understand how Goddess Sulochana came to know that her husband's head was with Lord Shri Ram. To satisfy everyone's curiosity, Sugriva asked Goddess Sulochana that how did you come to know that Meghnad's head was in Lord Shri Ram's camp. To this, Goddess Sulochana said- My husband's arm came flying to me from the battlefield, it wrote and told me. Hearing Goddess Sulochana's words, Sugriva spoke in sarcasm- If a lifeless arm can write, then this severed head can also laugh. Hearing Sugriva's words, Lord Shri Ram said- Don't talk uselessly friend, you don't know the greatness of a devoted wife, if she wants, this severed head can also laugh. While leaving Lord Shri Ram's camp, Goddess Sulochana prayed to the Lord- Lord! Today is my husband's funeral and I am going to meet him as his companion. Therefore, I want that the war should stop today, Lord Shri Ram accepted the prayer of Devi Sulochana and said Devi! It will happen as you wish, there will be no war today.

Ram Setu bridge was constructed to kill Ravana

While the bridge was being constructed to reach Lanka to kill the evil Ravana, a group of squirrels living in the forest tried to fill the cracks in the bridge by wetting their bodies in water and collecting sand particles in their wet bodies. Considering this act of the squirrels as an obstacle in the bridge construction, the monkeys tried to remove them. Then the squirrels went to Lord Rama and said, "Prabhu! The monkeys are beating us and chasing us away." Then Lord Rama, patting the backs of the squirrels, called the monkeys and said, "Why are you people insulting these squirrels? Whoever has the more strength, he will help to that extent."
