According to astrological calculations, the Sun God will transit from Capricorn to Aquarius on 12 February at 9:56 pm. The Sun God will remain in this zodiac till 13 March. The next day, on 14 March, the Sun God will change his zodiac sign. Before this, the Sun God will transit to Shatabhisha on 19 February and Purvabhadrapada Nakshatra on 4 March.

 

Kumbh Sankranti auspicious time (Kumbh Sankranti auspicious time)

According to the Vedic calendar, the Punya Kaal on Kumbh Sankranti Tithi is from 12:35 pm to 6:09 pm. Whereas, Maha Punya Kaal is from 4:18 pm to 6:09 pm. During Punya Kaal, devotees take bath in holy rivers including Ganga and do Puja, Japa-Tap and charity with devotion. Maha Punya Kaal on Kumbh Sankranti is of 1 hour and 51 minutes.

 

Kumbh Sankranti Shubh Yog

Saubhagya and Shobhan yoga are being formed on Kumbh Sankranti. There is also a conjunction of Ashlesha and Magha Nakshatra. Along with this, there is also a conjunction of Shivavas Yoga. By worshipping the Sun God in this yoga, the devotee will get the desired result. One can also worship (offer tarpan) of ancestors on this date.
