Currently, Raanjhanaa is going to theaters as a re-release. While the audience is very happy to see its changed climax through AI, it has become a matter of concern for the makers. Now actor Dhanush has given his reaction on this matter and he has written through a social media post-

I am very upset to see the climax of Raanjhanaa being changed by AI in the re-release. This is not the film I worked so hard for 12 years ago. It seems like it has completely taken away the soul of the film. It has been continued despite my objection, which is very sad.

By making changes to the film subject or any thing with AI, it is being harmed and its basis of reality is being destroyed to some extent. This is clearly a threat to the heritage of cinema. I hope that some strict law will be made in the future to stop such acts.

In this way Dhanush has given his opinion on this whole matter. Earlier, Raanjhanaa director Anand L Rai had also raised objections on this matter and he had said in strong words that his films have been tampered with using AI which is not tolerable.

Raanjhanaa was commercially successful

Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor starrer Raanjhanaa was included in the list of successful films of 2013. According to Bollywood Hungama's report, this film made on a budget of 36 crores did a business of more than 60 crores at the domestic box office. The film's earnings worldwide were around 90 crores.
