Kannauj Robbery Case: Police arrested three criminals carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 each, who had committed a robbery worth lakhs in two houses in two different villages in Thathiya police station area of ​​Kannauj district on the night of September 3, in an encounter late last night. Before the arrest, there was an encounter between the criminals and the police. The criminals fired at the police with pistols; in self-defense the police fired and the gang leader got shot in his leg. Police surrounded the injured criminal and his accomplices and arrested them.

As soon as the information of the encounter was received, Kannauj's Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand reached the spot. Amit Kumar Anand said that late night the police was checking in Thathiya police station area when a motorcycle without a number plate was seen by the police. When the police tried to stop the bike, the miscreants opened fire on the police, in defense the police also fired on the miscreants. The absconding gang leader Vivek alias Pinku, who is a resident of Hardoi district, and his two associates Krishna and Anshuman have also been arrested. A mangalsutra ring, 13 thousand rupees and a bike have been recovered from them.

SP Amit Kumar Anand said that on the night of September 3, two different houses were robbed in Basta and Fatuwapur village of Thathiya police station. In one of the houses, the miscreants beat up and injured the husband and wife when they opposed the robbery. After the incident, the police first arrested two miscreants and recovered the looted cash and gold ornaments from them. Seven members of the gang who carried out the incident were absconding. A reward of 25 thousand was announced on all of them. Late night, the gang leader Vivek alias Pinku and his two accomplices were arrested. Vivek, who was injured in the police encounter, has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
