Kannauj.  While going from Delhi to Bihar on the expressway, a pickup collided from behind with a DCM going ahead. Due to this, the aunt and nephew travelling in the pickup died and eight people were injured. The injured were admitted to the medical college. Four of them were referred to Kanpur LLR hospital as their condition was critical. 

Rajan, son of late Dinanath, a resident of Bishanpura village in the Jamo police station area of ​​Siwan district in Bihar, was going to Bihar with his wife Rajju Devi, sons Deepak and Deepu, brother Mukesh, his wife Ramanti, their sons Ansh and Yas, mother Kaushalya Devi and cousin Munnu, son of Dhurandhar Singh.

His father had died eight days ago

Rajan's father had died in Bihar eight days ago. The thirteenth day rituals had to be performed there. They were going from Delhi to Bihar with household goods loaded in a pickup. My cousin brother Munnu was driving the pickup. The pickup belongs to Rajan himself. They left from Delhi on Sunday evening.

On reaching the 149-kilometer point of Saurikh police station on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Munnu fell asleep while driving the pickup. Due to this, the pickup collided from behind with the DCM going ahead. The driver fled with the DCM. The pickup got damaged. Munnu and his aunt Kaushalya Devi, who were traveling in the pickup, died. Eight other people were injured.

The injured were admitted to the Community Health Center Saurikh for first aid. From there all the injured were referred to the Government Medical College. In the medical college, Rajjo, Ramanti, Rajan, and Deepak have been referred to Kanpur LLR Hospital due to their critical condition.

The bodies of the aunt and nephew have been kept in the mortuary of the medical college. SDM Ashok Kumar and Tehsildar Atul Harsh have reached the medical college with the revenue team regarding the incident. Emergency in-charge Dr. Sadab Hussain said that four seriously injured people have internal injuries. For this reason, they have been referred.
