New Delhi. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday emphasised on the growing role of Indian skills and talent globally and said developed countries of the world are now showing interest in entering into mobility agreements with India. Addressing the CII Annual Business Summit 2024 in New Delhi, Jaishankar also emphasised on the responsibility to protect Indian citizens abroad.
Role of Indian skills and talent
Jaishankar said that 'In the era of knowledge economy, the role of Indian skills and talent is also being re-evaluated. Technological advancement is creating more demand, but there is also the reality of demographic shortage in developed countries. These trends are now manifesting in the form of interest in entering into mobility agreements with India across the world.'
This is how India is working amidst the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza
The External Affairs Minister also highlighted the successful operations undertaken by India to evacuate Indian nationals from Ukraine and Sudan and said that he aims to make India a global hub for innovation, research and design. He also underlined the crisis prevailing across the world due to the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza and said that the world is facing a 3F crisis of fuel, food grains and fertilizers, in which India is dealing with a judicious combination of 'Bharat Pratham' and 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'.
Vishwa Bandhu mentioned
Jaishankar said, "Terrorism and extremism have started to engulf those who have been practicing it for a long time. In many ways, we are really going through a perfect storm. For India, the key is to minimize its impact and contribute to stabilizing the world as much as possible. It is the judicious combination of 'Bharat First' and 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' that defines our image as 'Vishwa Bandhu'."
