Former Prime Minister of Pakistan  and currently in jail, Imran Khan has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize . Imran Khan has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts for human rights and democracy. This information has been given by the Pakistan World Alliance and the Norwegian political party Center.

 

Giving information on X, Party Centrum said, "We are happy to announce on behalf of Party Centrum that in alliance with anyone with the right to nominate, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with human rights and democracy in Pakistan."

 

Imran Khan nominated for the second time

Let us tell you that this is the second time that Imran Khan has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Earlier in 2019, he was nominated for his efforts to promote peace in South Asia.

Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, has been in jail since August 2023. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison on charges of abuse of power and corruption. Let us tell you that he was removed from power after a no-confidence vote in April 2022.

 

Every year the Nobel Committee receives hundreds of nominations, after which they select the winner through an eight-month long process.
