Along with this, the company also brought a cost cutting strategy, after which common facilities like coffee and tea were also stopped at the company's workplace.
In August, Intel announced plans to layoff 15,000 employees
In August, Intel announced to lay off 15,000 employees from the company. For this, it was announced that they would be removed from the company either through voluntary separation agreement or layoff. Along with this, in August, the company announced that it is stopping many benefits of its employees. Out of these, the company announced to stop the cost or allowances of internet, phone and travel.
Company's new announcement after three months of layoffs
Now, three months after taking the step of layoffs, Intel has made a new announcement. This chip manufacturer has announced that it is going to provide free beverages i.e. tea-coffee facility to its employees at workplaces again. The purpose of the company behind this is to keep the morale of the employees high.
In its internal message, the company has said that "the company is going to bring back such perks to increase the comfort and morale of its employees. Even though the company is still struggling on the cost front, we understand that small comforts play a big role in our daily routine. We know this is a small step but we hope that it will play an important role in supporting our workplace culture."
