Moradabad News: In Indian culture, there is a tradition of performing Shraddha rituals and charity in Pitru Paksha. Under this, food is donated to Brahmins, etc. But, the villagers of Bhagta Nagla village in Gunnaur tehsil area of Sambhal district neither feed Brahmins during the Shraddha month nor does any Brahmin visit this village during these days. Not only this, no monk will visit this village during the Shraddha days and if someone goes there by mistake, he is not given alms. There is no worship in the village for 16 days of Pitru Paksha. The people of this village have not performed Shraddha for about 100 years.

Apart from the ban on Shraddha rituals, the villagers do not perform any kind of worship, havan, etc. for the peace of the soul of the dead for 16 days of Pitru Paksha. Brahmins are not allowed entry in this village during the days of Pitru Paksha. What is the story behind banning the entry of Brahmins. Elder Revati Singh, a resident of this village, tells that in ancient times, a Brahmin woman of the village had come to the house of a villager in Bhagta Nagla village to perform the shraddha of a deceased relative. But after performing the shraddha rituals, heavy rains started in the village.

The woman was thrown out of the house by her husband,
and due to the rain, the Brahmin woman had to stay at the villager's house for several days. After several days, when the rain stopped, when the Brahmin woman returned to her house, her husband questioned her character, insulted her and threw her out of the house. After being insulted by her husband, the Brahmin woman returned to Bhagta Nagla village. She told the villagers everything and said that she was insulted because of performing shraddha during Pitru Paksha.

If you perform shraddha, you will be in trouble.
The woman also told the villagers that because of you, my husband has thrown me out of the house. Therefore, if you perform shraddha, you will be in trouble. Considering the suffering of the Brahmin woman as a curse, the people of this village have been following the tradition of not performing Shraddha for the last 100 years. Except for Shraddha, Brahmins keep coming to the village on other days. Marriage and other rituals are also performed by Brahmins. The people of the village say that this is a tradition of the elders.
