Sensex Top 10 Companies: There are still two trading days left in the Indian stock market, but the last trading week of the year has seen good results. If we look at the market capitalization of the top 10 companies of the Sensex, Reliance Industries is once again at the top position i.e. number 1. The market capitalization (market cap) of six of the top 10 most valuable companies of the Sensex increased by Rs 86,847.88 crore last week. During this period, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries benefited the most.

Reliance Industries remained at number one in the list of top 10 companies of Sensex. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, State Bank of India, ITC, LIC and Hindustan Unilever.

Which companies benefit and which suffer losses

While the market capitalisation of Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, ITC and Hindustan Unilever increased last week, the market position of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, State Bank of India (SBI) and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) declined.

Reliance and HDFC Bank got the most benefit

During the past week, the valuation of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 20,230.9 crore to Rs 16,52,235.07 crore. The market capitalisation of HDFC Bank increased by Rs 20,235.95 crore to Rs 13,74,945.30 crore. 

ITC's market cap rose by Rs 17,933.49 crore to Rs 5,99,185.81 crore and ICICI Bank's by Rs 15,254.01 crore to Rs 9,22,703.05 crore. Bharti Airtel's market position rose by Rs 11,948.24 crore to Rs 9,10,735.22 crore. Hindustan Unilever's market capitalization rose by Rs 1,245.29 crore to Rs 5,49,863.10 crore.

The market cap of these companies declined

In contrast to this trend, SBI's market cap fell by Rs 11,557.39 crore to Rs 7,13,567.99 crore. LIC's market position fell by Rs 8,412.24 crore to Rs 5,61,406.80 crore. Infosys' market cap fell by Rs 2283.75 crore to Rs 7,95,803.15 crore. TCS' market position fell by Rs 36.18 crore to Rs 15,08,000.79 crore.

How was the performance of Sensex and Nifty

Last week, the BSE's 30-share Sensex rose 657.48 points or 0.84 percent. While the National Stock Exchange's Nifty gained 225.9 points or 0.95 percent.
