UP News: Lucknow Police has caught a gang from Chhattisgarh, which used to do Reiki at shops in the name of wages during the day and then was carrying out incidents of theft at night. Five members of the gang have been arrested, who used to roam around the city and recce shops in the name of labor. After this, whenever the opportunity arose, they used to commit thefts at night. 

Police say that these people used to work as laborers and mechanics. Used to choose nighttime for theft. This gang mostly targeted shops. There are three real brothers and two other relatives involved in this gang. All of them were working as a gang. The police have recovered a 315-bore pistol and live cartridges from them, along with tools used to break the shutters of the shop.

What did the DCP say about the incident?

DCP South Tej Swaroop Singh said that the police took this incident as a challenge and the surveillance and police station teams worked together. Police have arrested five accused, including three brothers and two relatives. The youngest among them is a child abuser. All of them are residents of Chhattisgarh and work as laborers here. The stolen money has been recovered from them. The two accused also have criminal histories. A case has been registered in Madhyav police station of Lucknow and he has been sent to jail.

DCP said that most of the items that were stolen have been recovered. These accused first used to do Reiki and then carry out the incident. After committing the incident, these people did not leave Lucknow and go to Chhattisgarh. Lived here. Then they would roam around and do recce at other places and then target him. Inquiries are being made as to where the pistol came from. At present everyone is being arrested and sent to jail.
