UP Politics: The Waqf Amendment Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday in the second phase of the budget session of Parliament. The Indian National Congress is against this bill. Meanwhile, the party MP Imran Masood said that I am a descendant of Ram ji, I should be included in the temple trust (Ayodhya Ram Mandir).

Responding to a journalist's question in the Parliament premises, Masood said what is the role of non-Muslims in the Waqf Board? He said that property is Waqf so that its earnings can be used for the benefit of orphans and the poor. This provides support to the destitute. In UP, you have declared 78% of Waqf property as controversial. Tomorrow anyone will come and claim ownership.

I am also a descendant of Ram ji...
On the appointment of non-Muslims, the MP said that there will be 22 members in the Waqf. More than 12 will be non-Muslims. How would they know what Waqf is. You get me into the Ram Mandir Trust. I am also a descendant of Ram ji. Tell me if I am not. I will prove that I am a descendant of Ram ji.

Referring to NDA allies, Imran Masood said that if today TDP, JDU do not support Muslims on this issue, then Muslims will never forgive them.

Congress MP from Saharanpur and JPC member Imran Masood said that 'We are ready for discussion. But I want to tell you the truth. The government is repeatedly saying that nothing will happen to Muslims, but they have made a provision that any property which is government property, in which the government has a stake, is disputed, that property will not be considered Waqf until it is investigated by a designated officer, the disputed property will not remain Waqf.'
