We run around so much all day to fulfill our two basic needs, and those are to eat a full meal and sleep peacefully. If we are unable to do even this, then our hard work all day is useless. To keep the body healthy, every person must do at least this much that he is calm and happy in every way while sleeping at night, but the quality of your sleep depends to a great extent on all the activities you do before sleeping.

Therefore, before sleeping, we should follow some good and healthy habits so that all the physical and mental fatigue of the day can be removed by deep sleep at night. Let us know 5 such habits which we must adopt before sleeping-

 

Do evening exercise

In the evening do a light workout, walk, jog or exercise in any form and move the body so that the body remains tired till bed time and you will get deep sleep after getting tired.

 

Limit screen time

The blue light emitted from the screen disturbs the production of melatonin in the body, which disturbs our sleep cycle. This not only damages the eyes but also leads to incomplete sleep. In such a situation, the next day is boring and full of fatigue. Therefore, stop screen time two to three hours before sleeping.

 

Limit caffeine

Avoid consuming caffeine in any form 6 hours before sleeping. It makes the brain more alert and vigilant which can lead to insomnia and many other problems like high BP, addiction, digestive problems, etc.

 

Avoid heavy dinner

Keep dinner as light as possible. Stay away from red meat and sugar. By having a light dinner, the body follows the natural circadian cycle and the digestive process is not affected. It has many other benefits like protection from acid reflux, good appetite so that breakfast is not skipped, helps in weight loss and better sleep.

Stay hydrated

Except for those who have the problem of frequent urination due to some reasons, in all other normal conditions, there are many benefits of keeping the body hydrated by drinking water before bedtime. This keeps the body temperature cool which leads to good sleep, the body does not get dehydrated due to which the sleep quality is good, snoring is reduced, there is no problem of constipation, headache and brain fog and skin health remains good.
